Challenge

The client was in search of an AI-based solution to personalize product discovery on their website in real-time for each user coming to the website. They were looking for a solution they could implement quickly with a low effort on their end that would bring them measurable results.

Solution

The XGEN AI team worked with the client to create and deploy an AI model to personalize the highly trafficked Product Details Pages and the Empty Search Results page that the customer had flagged as a pain point. Events were tracked on the front end for about two weeks in order to gather enough data to train the AI model and go-live. XGEN AI created the recommendations carousels and rendered them seamlessly on the website in order to avoid any development and high effort on the customer side.

Go-Live was ready in 2 weeks.

The performance A/B test ran in top three markets: US, IT and DE.

XRecommend was present on Product Details Pages and Empty Search Results page.

Statistical Significance was reached in 4 weeks.

Results

During the test XRecomend delivered a lift of +14% on Revenue Per User for the test group exposed to XRecommend, Average Order Value increased by 6% and Conversion Rate by 8%.
